Nevada plusers. Geico just informed me that the NV DMV has changed the way they levy fees for lack of insurance. “The fines are based on the length and frequency of lapses, and they became effective on July 1st, 2011.”
I guess its no longer going to be cheaper to buy insurance to get your car registered, and then letting it lapse and just paying the fine the next year.
