I think the best thing to come out of the drama of the past week or two is Elvis… specifically that he’s more bonded to me now than when this all began.   I think he is still sad and misses his old pack, but he seems a lot more secure in his place here with us now.    I’m thinking the trauma of the whole hasty retreat to a strange place did a lot to solidify his understanding that he belongs to this pack now… and that we love him and whatever craziness he has to witness, he’s still my dog and not going anywhere.
