I really don’t think this is true just for banking.   The conglomerate culture doesn’t seem to really be doing the consumer any good.

I think the tech companies should take note, because they’re on the same path.    Do what you do well, and leave innovation in other spaces to other people.    You don’t have to be in every market.

Sad that all the little players going great innovation in their niche get bought up by a bigger player doing mediocre innovation on several fronts.
