Its true.  The Bible is a poor tool to defining ‘traditional marriage’ with what is secularly recognized.  Not because it is a religious text, which applies only to those who follow it, but because it can be construed to support forms of marriage traditionally opposed in our nation.   Although we may not have started out as such, this nation has rejected the notion that women are property which is the basis of biblical marriage.

The bible defines marriage, alright; Over and over and over again in different ways. Good thing that marriage has existed for eons before Christ, and will exist for eons after no one remembers what Christianity was.
