This article goes over a lot of my feelings towards what I will simply characterize as a small but vocal subset of the overall group.    If it were me, I’d have been a little less broad in my choice of title.    But as the author writes, he’s not talking about all Atheists, just those he calls the ‘Reddit Atheists.’

I know a lot of atheists.  Most of them I really like, they’re cool people.  They’re thoughtful people that tend to demonstrate what is right with humanity more htan what is wrong.   Bottom line?    They’re not dicks about their faithlessness.   They don’t define themselves by their lack of religion.    They have a lot more to them.    (And they demonstrate that one doesn’t need a religion to have a strong moral compass.)

Then we have those others…   who I think are very much guilty of what this artcile is driving at.     We also have those who are respectful/respectable in person… and total dicks online.   But that’s another matter.

Those in this latter bucket… well, from one godless mind to another…
