So yeah.

So yeah.. he does kind of strike me as a little ‘out there’ as well but I can’t really refute anything he’s talking about in this.   It’s astonishing how many things the rest of the civilized world has outright banned from being in the food supply… the FDA will just let on by, all the while knowing its a bad idea…   and now they want to sneak aspartame into the milk!    Michael Baker Jackie Meyer

  1. I don’t understand it, at all. I mean, with all the backlash about sugars, why would this even be considered? It appalls me. The FDA is useless. They don’t test, they just trust food manufacturers that say it’s safe. Which is the most ridiculous thing to begin with. The EU must look at us and just shake their heads at how stupid we are.

  4. I was told once upon a time that the FDA deliberately sets a very low bar for everything, in an effort to make us seem healthier than we really are.

  7. What kills me about the aspartame in milk is not that they want  to use it…but that they don’t want to list it.   Simply saying ‘milk’ will now be sufficient.      People have a right to know what they’re consuming.   They don’t have to exercise it, but they deserve the opportunity to do so.

  10. I don’t think it has anything to do with that. It’s about money. The lobbies make sure that congress has no interest in properly funding the FDA so they can do their job. And everyone assumes that things are tested. It’s just like the ATF and monitoring of guns. The lobbies made sure to make it look like things were being monitored, while not allowing it to happen. They make a ton of money, we all get screwed…it’s the American Way.

  13. I’m sure its money.  It virtually always is in this country.  Aspartame is probably cheaper than whatever else they were using… but if they include it as a listed ingredient, now that consumers are more aware of its dangers, they’ll lose sales as a result.
