While it will be nice to see this building put to use, and not left to decay… one thing Reno is in no short supply of is retail space.   There are too many vacant buildings intended for such purposes dotting the entire area.

Can’t developers get more creative with this kind of thing?   Or is converting everything into condos and [vacant] retail space the extent of their capability?

  1. Pretty much the extent. They have actually been planning this for 6 years or so from the first I heard of it while doing the video of the meetings for the city.

    A big part of the push has been to reinvigorate the central areas of town. It is getting traction, but does leave a lot of empty space in the rest of the city
