Although they don’t seem to have given it any real attention in awhile.
Still, this is pretty critical to my workflow on keeping photos I want to access via Google’s services synced between the cloud and local storage.
I need a solid desktop-oriented photo management solution. I’m probably better off chasing dragons.

I’m not sure as I haven’t been using the autobackup for Google Photos or Google+ in awhile. In my case the photos i take are just at the cutover anyway so it’s moot. (I have been using Picasa to sync things instead.)
I believe, though, they’re talking explicitly about the Google+ piece some users might still be using if they haven’t switched to Google Photos.
