
Extremism exists everywhere, even the greatest religion of secular politics. Any fandom can become fanatical. It is a spectrum and a matter of degree and where the line between good and bad lies varies from individual to individual.
I know a lot of you are still unhealed from the damage of a religious upbringing. Religions are beautiful things, as art. Like a lot of art they aren’t terribly functional tools.
But I strongly caution you not to respond to things like homophobia and transphobia with theophobia. Those are all symptoms of the same sickness.
It is so, so easy to find yourself pushed to an extreme.

The real enemy is religion. By design, it poisons the mind. And Atheism shouldn’t even be included in that list as A.) It’s not a religion, and B.) you’ve never heard of an Atheist shooting up a place because the people didn’t have the same beliefs as him.
