  1. I have always been a proponent that instead of US history for two years and civics/economics crammed together in one class, we teach civics for two years and economics for a year. I’d like to believe that by high school, I think we’ve just about beaten US history to death and anyone who doesn’t know the history can catch up on it in a History Channel special.

  3. I tend to agree that economics warrants its own course.    They made it only a semester in my high school in southern cal, but then i moved back up here where its combined with ‘government’ and, well… i learned more the first time.

I had an awesome economics teacher too.   He made us buy our grades.   We’d earn the money to do it from our participation and tests and such.

Take a guess who bought the highest grade in not only his class, but all the classes that year.
