Let us just hope that today’s tests yield information so we can move on to treating her [Nora’s] condition.    I’m told it’s a difficult test (STIM test) to interpret.

  1. Nora just has issues.   CHF (that I was pre-aware of when I decided to adopt her) and Cushing’s disease until we prove otherwise.   Which is what the last two sets of tests have been about.

  3. For the cushings?  none as of yet.   My understanding is we have to first determine if its the brain, or the adrenal gland, that is causing the overproduction of hormones.   Which hopefully today’s test will tell us.

She has medication for her heart though.

  5. I do.  I feed them Evanger’s.  It’s all human-grade ingredients.   Chicken, water for processing, and guar gum are the only things in the can, actually.   Which is great for Nora as it doesn’t have any salt added.

I’m going to ask them what kind of supplements she, particularly, should be getting.    Like for Dax, there’s some dog treats I get from the same place that has glucosamine and sea cucumber (amonst other things) to help maintain his joints as he’s getting up there in years.
