Ha. I had similar thoughts… But this is just how we go about things I guess… messing with things we don’t fully grasp to begin with; and have no real idea how we’ll subtly (or otherwise) alter with our actions.
Our environment on Earth… or food supply.. our very own bodies… the list is pretty extensive.
Doesn’t quantum physics teach us that merely observing something changes it (at some level)?

Well, realistically they won’t fund it. The president will say this is the directions, people will work on it and spend tons of money (but not nearly enough as it needs) and it will get cancelled later. That’s what Bush did and that’s why our space program is lost.
