It’s the underlying attitudes that I hope will shift to where we move beyond merely tolerating differences in others, to outright embracing the diversity and uniqueness that each individual brings to the human race.
I also think its time that the GOP divides. I believe everyone deserves a voice at the table, even those on the fringe. There are voices in the GOP that don’t speak for their party and it might behoove them to stand on their own. Let us see who you are, and hear what you have to say, without usurping the rest of the party whose views may not be in line with your own.

]]>I think I agree with you, because to a lot of people “tolerance” seems to mean avoiding conflict my avoiding or ignoring differences. Like the way people say not to discuss politics or religion. As an atheistic pseudo-anarchist, I love talking to government approving religious types and leaving the conversation with a new friend.
