We’re taking the ‘next step’ with our NextSTEP-2 prototype for NASA, or the Lunar Gateway project. What you see wrapped around this core will soon be inflated to be 27 feet in diameter. Our inflatable Habitat would house astronauts and even give them enough space to work out and grow their own food. This inflatable module could help take astronauts back to the moon. Think of our Lunar Gateway prototype as a rest area for astronauts. Once it’s inflated, it’ll be 27 feet in diameter, and house things like plants, exercise equipment and a lab for science experiments. Astronauts will start their trip at the International Space Station and then stop at the Lunar Gateway near the moon, before heading out on deep space exploration, like a mission to Mars.
